Among the pictures that with have for Texas, we rarely think of art and architecture. It is a very rich State that offers an impressive range of museums and international luxury collections. Thus, the rich oil magnates are, for some, very active patrons who have brought together a large number of works of art in the territory.

You will probably arrive later in the day. Set up your neighborhoods in Neartown to be close to the sights.

Day 2 : Menil Collection and Rothko Chapel

In Neartown, you will see two sites of great interest: the Menil Collection, whose building is designed by Renzo Piano, and the Rothko chapel. If you have some time left, head to the Museum District to discover the Contemporary Arts Museum in Houston.

Day 3 : Dallas

In the morning, take the road to Dallas (4h). The afternoon will be devoted to the collections of the Nasher Sculpture Center, which is also made by Renzo Piano.

Day 4 : Downtown Dallas

See also the Perot Museum of Nature and Science for which the architect Thom Mayne received the Pritzker Prize. The skyscrapers of Downtown Dallas are for many architectural jewels.
