A three week stay allows you to spend one whole week to discover a region according to your tastes and the season; combine for example the Cuyo and the Northwest, and follow the Andes. Or Patagonia (including Puerto Madryn, to contemplate the southern whales show) and Iguazú or a short stay in Salta.

Note that the Salta is most popular region today with French-speaking travellers. It is one of the most beautiful in Argentina. If you don't know Bolivia or Peru (and even if you know these two wonderful countries, by the way), try at all costs to visit the Salta and Jujuy region, at the expense of the ones which you think are unmissable. If we had to choose between Bariloche and Ushuaia, maybe we would choose Bariloche. But we know that most of the travellers go to Ushuaia to feel like being at the end of the world...

Details of the stay: Discovery of Patagonia - 21 days

Day 1 : First steps in Argentina

Arrival in Buenos Aires. Head to the hotel to find your feet.

Day 2 : Visit the oldest district of the city

Discovery of a typical and unmissable neighbourhood: San Telmo. The best thing is to coincide this day with a Sunday to take profit from the large market around Dorrego square. In the evening, why not taking a seat in a cabaret to watch a tango show.

Day 3 : Walk in Palermo

Go to Palermo, the city's rich district. Trendy boutiques, galleries and high-quality restaurants. In the afternoon, enjoy an ice-cream in Recoleta and why not paying a visit to its famous cemetery.

Day 4 : Coloured facades in La Boca

A tour of the famous Caminito in La Boca morning, a real open-air museum. In the afternoon, go to the airport for Puerto Madryn.

Day 5 : Excursion near the ocean

Visit of the Valdés peninsula next to Puerto Madryn, a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Day 6 : In the penguins' country

Visit of Punta Tumbo and its penguins, visit of Trelew and Gaimán.

Day 7 : Ushuaia

Departure for Ushuaia, walk through the city.

Day 8 : Stunning landscapes of the Tierra de Fuego

Trek in the Tierra del Fuego national park.

Day 9 : A kayak outing

Kayak and walk in the Estancia Haberton, aboard a boat to see the penguins or excursion on 4x4 to Escondido lake.

Day 10 : Crossing between glaciers

Sailing on the Beagle canal.

Day 11 : Visit of El Calafate

Flying in the morning to El Calafate, walk in the city and the Laguna Nimez reserve.

Day 12 : Glacial landforms

Expedition to Perito Moreno glacier in Los Glaciares National Park, boat ride and/or trekking on the glacier.

Day 13 : Walks in nature

Departure for El Chaltén, a short hiking in the afternoon.

Day 14 : Hiking on the peaks

Trekking in the national park around Fitz Roy and Glaciar Torres.

Day 15 : Snow-capped peaks

Next to the hike around Fitz Roy and Glaciar Torres.

Day 16 : Relaxation day in Bariloche

Back to El Calafate and flying to Bariloche. Walk in the city in the afternoon.

Day 17 : Hiking around the seven lakes

The Routes of the Seven Lakes to Villa la Angostura. Visit of the Los Arrayanes national park.

Day 18 : Trek in the forests of Lanín National Park

Visit of San Martín de Los Andes, hiking in Lanín National Park.

Day 19 : Transfer to El Bolsón

Return to Bariloche, head to El Bolsón.

Day 20 : Well deserved rest

Walk in the region and rest in the green setting before getting on the road to Bariloche.

Day 21 : Last day in Buenos Aires

Return to Buenos Aires.
